HLT 143-144, Medical Terminology (3 crs.) – (3 crs.) - provides an understanding of medical abbreviations and terms: Includes the study of prefixes, suffixes, stem words, and technical terms with emphasis on proper spelling and usage for allied health personnel (office, nursing, health, physical education, etc.).

You are responsible for knowing the information provided in the text/workbook and the slide presentations viewed in the library. The exercises are designed to give you immediate feedback and test your retention of the material presented. Do not ignore the exercises!

A test will be administered at the end of each chapter. See the schedule for due dates. Tests will be removed from the testing center on the due date 　

Should you receive a low score on a module test, you will have an opportunity for one re-test. Re-tests will be given at the student’s request. All re-tests should be taken prior to the final exam week.
