In the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) the duties of the Director of Learning Resources may take on many shapes. DSLCC defines the Director's position as supervising and managing the Library and all print and non-print materials purchased by the institution. LRC staffs are committed to the philosophy that people learn in a variety of ways -- some learn best by reading, some by using a computer keyboard repeatedly, some by watching videocassettes. All of these items, plus the LRC staff, are resources to education; as such, a visitor to campus will find what is normally included in a traditional library as well as non-print materials and equipment.
