The following list isn't given in any particular order.  The authors run the gamut of poets, novelists, journalists, non-fiction writers, playwrights, and combination of such.  Any author noted with an "*" is specific to learning community students who are also enrolled in Art 201/202, but any student can select from these authors as well.

Check out several before you settle on one.  If no one suits your fancy here, you are free to select from the writers included in your text and then talk with me about that alternate choice.
