Research Project Particulars

The final writing project for English 111: College Composition I involves a step-by-step approach to a documented, argumentative essay.  In class, we will examine the process required to develop this project and learn how to translate that effort into a 4 to 7 page research essay.

Your final work must include a minimum of 5 sources, cited in your essay, including:  2 periodicals, 1 internet source, 1 book, 1 personal interview.  You must have at least these specific ones, but you may certainly use more.

Several elements will make up your final research project portfolio and must be included with your submission of work on the due date for your project to be considered complete:

Your Working Bibliography
One workshop rough draft
A Revision Draft
A précis on 3 of your sources used in your essay--your choice, excluding interview (total of 3)
Your signed checklist
A final, POLISHED research essay
