Week 5
Readings and Notes:
This week we will close up Chpt. 3 and begin Chpt. 4, so get started in that portion in your reading. So many elements influence the work you will be doing in your classrooms, and they come from a variety of directions. Consider how "authority" changes as you consider determinations that are made for your schools system and ultimately for your classroom.
Take time this week as well to peruse some news websites (ie CNN.com, WashingtonPost.com) and the local papers (DSLCC has several for you to use) to look for issues that are happening right now in education. What do you see as a focal point in the news as concerns/issues/problems in Education?
Journal:
I'll have your journal focus posted on Wednesday. Add your response by Saturday and a response to a classmate by Sunday.
Other Assignments:
More here later. Be sure to have read the rubric for Observation evaluation, linked on Course Documents in Bb.
Due Dates:
More here next week......
