DSLCC Testing Procedures for Independent (Web-based) Students
The following is DSLCC's policy for independent testing in the LRC:
On-campus testing for Independent Learning Students takes place in the Library of the DSLCC LRC. Facilities for Blackboard online and traditional paper tests are available in a small classroom with video surveillance. Paper tests will be distributed from the Circulation Desk any time the Library is open and passwords for BlackBoard testing will be keyed in by the staff.; Students should be prepared to present a photo ID. which may be required,and relinquish their cell phones, MP3 players and any materials The following points also apply to testing:
| Guidelines for special situations (limited time, open book, calculators, notes, etc) from the course’s instructor, will be followed for each student. | |
| A bookcase is also available to collect backpacks or books, notes, etc., at the testing area. Wallets or purses holding money should remain with the student. | |
| Tests do not leave the library for any reason; once a test has begun, it cannot be turned in and received later for completion. Students cannot leave the testing area for any reason and return to complete their exam or take their exam to the instructor for grading... | |
| Video surveillance supplements proctoring; any grounds for cheating will be reported to the instructor Scholastic dishonesty is identified in each course of study, and each student is encouraged to become completely familiar with it.. | |
| Work-study students assigned to the LRC or IT Divisions are not permitted to distribute tests, provide passwords, or work with surveillance. equipment. |
